Become a Friend of the Festival Dear friend of the Women's Film Festival: "Youth is celebrated. But so is the wisdom that comes with age. Old friends return - to share the spotlight with strong new voices. Compelling stories are found in the hills of Vermont, but also in the Middle East, the Deep South, the Czech Republic and the Republic of Georgia, as well as within corridors of power and the walls of a prison." So began Jon Potter's February 26, 2004 Brattleboro Reformer article inviting readers to the 13th annual Women's Film Festival. And this year we will again showcase films depicting women's multi-faceted lives and present community events celebrating women artists and film makers during Women in History Month. The 17th annual Women's Film Festival opens on March 9, 2007. Thanks to supporters like you, last year's festival set new records both as a community outreach event and as a fundraiser - more than $15,000 was contributed to the Women's Crisis Center, which provides advocacy and shelter to survivors of sexual assault and battered women and their children in Windham County. Please join us in supporting the Women's Crisis Center! Please join us in celebrating women filmmakers and artists! * Sponsor a single film for $100 Your sponsorship helps pay for film and theater rental and other festival costs. In return for your contribution, your name or logo will be featured in festival publicity. Please make your checks payable to Women's Crisis Center (and write Women's Film Festival on the memo line). Thanks for your time, interest and continued support. See you at the movies, Marilyn Buhlmann, Coordinator, Marilyn_art@yahoo.com
