Hot Films Cure Winter’s End at March 2012 Women’s Film Festival

postcard image of latchis theaterThe 21st annual Women’s Film Festival  (WFF) will present an extraordinary array of dramas and documentaries from March 9 to 18, 2012 at the historic Art Deco Latchis Theater and the New England Youth Theatre in downtown Brattleboro, a cultural magnet town voted one of the top 25 small cities for art in America by American Style magazine.

Over these 10 days in March -- Women’s History Month -- the longest-running women’s film festival in New England (and one of the oldest in the world devoted to films mostly by and always about women) will screen 26 entertaining and illuminating films that raise awareness of the struggles, accomplishments and creativity of women around the corner and around the globe.

A full list of downloadable images can be found at the WFF website at www.womensfilmfestival.org. Film descriptions will be available shortly.

A festival reception and film previews will take place during Brattleboro’s monthly Gallery Walk Friday, March 2, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the  Hooker Dunham lobby at 139 Main Street (enter at street level through the alley and glass doors.) in Brattleboro.

The festival opens Friday, March 9 at 6:30 pm at the beautiful main hall of the Latchis Theater with a bubbly, beguiling portrait of the legendary Carol Channing.
